John Grbic

John Grbic was born in Dandenong in 1958 and resides with his wife and family in rural Beaconsfield, Victoria. John’s formal training was in Graphic Design at the Caulfield Institute of Technology and worked as a graphic artist for a number of years. Combining his love of animals and realist painting, John creates true to life images of animals and people using his favourite medium, watercolour.

John held his first 2-man art exhibition in 1997 at Coolart Historic homestead (Vic.) and has successfully exhibited at the Box Hill Art Show, Berwick, Camberwell, Victor Harbor and Ringwood Rotary art shows with awards including Highly Commended, People’s Choice and Best local artist. In 2010 he was awarded First Prize in the Maroondah City Council Mayoral Art Show.
