ARTIST NOTES: Farewell My Sister - The Titanic and Olympic are sister ships built side by side at Harland and Wolff, Belfast, Ireland. The Olympic was launched first. They were together only once just before the Titanic departed on her first and final trans Atlantic fateful voyage in 1912. This painting depicts the final farewell.

ARTIST BIO

ARTIST’ S BIOGRAPHY – TIM BAKER

Tim, a retired Master Mariner, commenced painting in 2007.  He received a Commendation - 2008 Victorian Artists Society Maritime Exhibition. In 2009 gained the Emerging Artists Award - Rotary Yea Art Show and has sold at the Victorian Artists Society, The ANL Maritime Art Exhibition and the Camberwell Art Show. 

 He has studied water colour painting with Malcolm Beattie and currently David Taylor.  He is a member of the Australian Society of Marine Artists and the Victorian Artists Society.  He loves watercolour painting and wishes he commenced this never ending journey years ago.
