ARTIST BIO

Fay Palmer was born in Daylesford, Victoria. She is a very experienced Secondary Art/Craft Teacher...now retired. Since the mid 80's Fay has concentrated on her love of the watercolour meduim...influenced and encouraged orginally by classes with Barbara Better, David Taylor, Amanda Hyatt and Alvero Castagnet. Fay works mainly in Watercolour, Pen and Wash.

Fay first exibited in Melbourne in 1988, where she received an Honourable Mention for her Watercolour presented by Sir William Dargie. Since then she has received many awards for her Watercolours including two from the Camberwell Art Show. 

Fay has exhibited in many group exhibitions at the Mulgrave Gallery(now closed), The Highway Gallery, Rotary Art Shows, The Lakes Vic Gallery Lakes Entrance, The Victorian Artists Society Cato Gallery, The Victorian Artists Society in seasonal and themed exhibitions.

Fay is a current member of the Watercolour Society of Victoria and is an exhibiting member of the Victorian Artists Society.
